Sometimes Good Friends Are Sunshine In The Middle

I posted this back in 2014 and I am grateful for you then and grateful for you now.

Good friends invite you to stay at their house when you come to town. Great friends still invite you when you don't arrive until Midnight, leave at 8:30 the next morning AND they are also getting ready to leave on a trip of their own. Thank you Ashlee!

I met Ashlee through mutual friends online and met her for the first time at Tiffany Peterson's Elevation event last year (Elevation 2014 will be epic. You should come!). Ashlee and I had a long chat in the lobby of the hotel. I felt an instant connection with her and I know that she was planted in my life at exactly the right moment. We talked about where motherhood and entrepreneurship intersect and how to do all the things we want to do AND be the kinds of moms we want to be. I expressed concern that I didn't know how to be an author, have a book tour and be a mom. She responded happily "But God does." I don't remembered if I cried then, but I'm tearing up now at how those words in that moment changed me. I remember them often and am more diligent in seeking God's advice and trusting His path for me.

Since that day, I'm grateful Ashlee and I have stayed connected. Our deep and meaningful conversations on life, business and things of the Spirit are a treasure to me.

We chatted last night as if we've been friends forever. Good friends are gold.
