Go and Be Podcast #5 - Living Prophets with Stephanie Sorensen
Have you ever struggled with how to balance your view of prophets? Has it ever been difficult for you to accept their counsel? Today, our hosts, Michelle McCullough and Christie Gardiner, are joined by BYU instructor and religious non-fiction author Stephanie Sorensen to tackle these questions and more.
The wonderful news about prophets is that they provide evidence that “the doors of revelation are not closed.” However, saying what we always want to hear is far from their job description. Their counsel may invite us to wrestle a bit, but that wrestling also stretches us. And while “stretching always hurts,” it helps us grow because it “takes us to a new place, to a new understanding.”
Tune in to our discussion for more ideas, thoughts, and inspiration on how to better understand and view modern-day prophets.
