Life In Motion

As I get back into Utah I can't stop looking at this picture from last night's breathtaking sunset at Sequoia National Park. It was taken from the window of a moving car because we couldn't take another minute for pictures. (We had taken a million pictures already, so it's not that we rushed through the moment...the sunset kept changing and I wanted to capture it ALL.)

But as I look at this picture it's such a parallel for my life right now. So much beauty and I'm so grateful to be on this path even if sometimes it appears to be in motion - that's how my life is.

Sometimes people say to me that I look busy. They say it like I look "too" busy and there's no question that I'm on the go a lot. Between my kids, friends, church service, marketing clients and speaking events my schedule is pretty full, but it's delightfully full and mostly full of things I love (is there a way to remove housekeeping from life? 😉). I may move fast and talk fast but I get to see a lot of things this way.

Tonight as I sat and watched a Utah sunset from a moving car, I express gratitude to God for my current path and for the wonderful things I get to see and experience every day. This path is bumpy at times, but I will never deny God's goodness in my life in all the blessings seen and unseen. So so grateful.
